Pathfinders and Satellite Evangelism.

Community outreach and fund raising:

Every time the Pathfinder club goes out into the community collecting food for the food bank, ingathering or community service, have the Pathfinders hang a door tag on every home  with a Christian Satellite Television door hanger.  The goal is to get our Adventist networks into homes in our communities using the Christian Satellite Television package.  This package offers 58 Christian channels with NO monthly fees and the first 12 TV stations are all Adventist networks, Hope Channel, 3ABN, LLBN, AFTV, etc.  

Training the Pathfinders to install the Satellite Evangelism satellite system:

The key to this program is teaching the club to install the satellite systems.  A suggested installation fee is between $150-$175.  The club will offer the installation for a suggested donation based on the current installation prices.  This way the club raises funds for the projects they need to fund and of course the kids get very motivated earning money doing something they will enjoy.

Other benefits the Pathfinders club will have is the ability to assist the homeowner with yard cleaning, painting, etc.  It is an opportunity for the club to get involved with the homeowner and minister to them.

Installation outreach:

The installer for a Christian Satellite Television system will become the front line evangelist for that home.  The opportunity the club has of befriending the homeowner and building a friendship relationship is very important.  The installers can offer Bible studies to the homeowner and turn them over to the church's Bible worker.  If the Bible study doesn’t work out they will have the opportunity to plant the seed that the Hope Channel, 3abn or whichever Adventist network is their favorite. 

Connected with the club:

A tremendous opportunity exists with the Pathfinders club having had installed the satellite system.  If the system ever has a problem the club will have another opportunity to minister to that family again.  If the homeowner needs help in the future of course the Pathfinder club will be in the forefront of their thoughts.

Insurance:

The club is usually covered under the churches liability insurance policy.
